Role Description

This position supports senior brokers in assessing client needs, preparing finance applications, and liaising with lenders, clients and their agents. Day-to-day responsibilities include gathering client information, analysing financial data, preparing loan documentation and proposals, and maintaining accurate records in internal systems. The role involves communicating with clients, their accountants, and bankers; following up on documentation and ensure a smooth application process. The Associate Finance Broker also helps with market research, keeps up to date with lender product changes, and contributes to ongoing improvements in client service and compliance processes.

Qualifications & Skills

• Strong financial and business analysis skills, with the ability to understand financial statements, budgets, cash flows, business plans and different trading structures.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and explain complex information in plain language.
• Client focussed; demonstrating priority on client outcomes and understanding client needs.
• Familiarity with finance products and processes, such as home loans, business loans, equipment finance, or commercial property lending.
• Relevant tertiary qualification or industry certification in finance broking, accounting, business, or a related field (or progress toward one).
• Strong analytical and numerical skills, with attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
• Competence in using office software and CRM systems; ability to learn new lender and brokerage platforms quickly.
• Demonstrated commitment to ethical conduct, regulatory compliance, and client confidentiality.
• Prior experience in a brokerage, banking, or financial services environment is advantageous but not mandatory.
