The role suits a seasoned procurement professional who understands ACT Government procurement, works well under pressure, and can build trust across different teams and organisational cultures.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Lead procurement advice for ICT solutions, goods and services
• Review complex procurement documentation and identify the next steps
• Develop and assure RFT, approach-to-market and briefing material
• Apply ACT Government procurement legislation, policy and governance
• Balance procurement compliance with project delivery timelines
• Manage risks, issues, priorities and deadlines across active work
• Work with senior procurement, program and digital stakeholders
• Support market engagement, information sessions and negotiations
• Contribute to procurement capability uplift and better ways of working

What You Bring (Essential Criteria)

• You’ve delivered procurement work using ACT Government processes and legislation
• You’ve supported ICT, SaaS, digital ecosystem or large-scale project procurement
• You can quickly understand complex documentation and work out what matters
• You balance compliance, value for money and tight delivery timelines
• You advise senior stakeholders with tact, confidence and clear writing
• You can work in ambiguous, high-volume environments with competing priorities
• You’re comfortable working onsite regularly in Canberra
• You’re an Australian citizen
• You must clear a National Police Check before starting

Nice to Have (Desirable Criteria)

• Relevant procurement or contracting qualifications
• Experience with SaaS, student systems, data, cybersecurity or digital ecosystems
• Experience leading market briefings, information sessions or negotiations
• Greater onsite availability across Canberra campus locations
