JOB SUMMARY
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the distribution function and own end-to-end capital raising for Maxiron’s fund products across retail, HNW, family office and sophisticated wholesale investors, delivering against agreed targets.
- Contribute to the corporate development of the investment platform — work alongside the executive team to shape distribution strategy, product roadmap, and channel expansion (e.g. retail, wholesale, platform, and institutional pathways); inform new fund design and structuring through investor feedback and market intelligence; and help position Maxiron’s brand and capabilities in the broader market.
- Lead and develop a high-performing sales team — set capital raising targets, KPIs, and coverage; coach team members on technical product knowledge, investor engagement, and pipeline discipline; conduct regular performance reviews; and foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and client-first thinking.
- Generate and convert a personal pipeline of investors — operate as a player-coach, leading by example through direct origination, proactive outreach, and conversion of retail, HNW, family office and sophisticated wholesale investors, while role-modelling the standard of investor engagement expected across the team.
- Activate and grow a portable network of private clients, accountants, financial advisers, mortgage brokers, family offices, and referral partners, while building strategic relationships with private banks, wealth platforms, EAMs, and boutique advisory firms.
- Own the end-to-end investor journey — from initial engagement and PDS/IM walkthrough through due diligence, subscription, and ongoing relationship management — partnering with the investment, credit, marketing, and compliance teams to produce PDSs, IMs, fact sheets, and monthly/quarterly reports, while maintaining a disciplined CRM pipeline and delivering accurate forecasts and regular reporting to senior management.
- Represent Maxiron at industry events, investor forums, and community functions
PRE-REQUISITES
- PR or Australian Citizen
- A bachelor’s degree or above in business/ finance / accounting
- 10+ years’ experience in alternative investment industry
- Experience in raising capital from retail / HNW / wholesale investors
- Highly motivated and experienced people leader
- Commercial mindset with ability to balance growth and risk
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Decisive, accountable, and able to operate under pressure
- Demonstrated stable career progression with meaningful tenure in prior roles
- RG146 compliant, experience with operating AFSL
