    Key Responsibilities

    1. Vision, Growth Plan Execution & Strategic Leadership

    • Partner with the CEO to develop, refine, and champion the company’s vision across the business.
    • Lead the execution of the growth plan, translating the CEO’s vision and strategy into clear priorities, milestones, and measurable outcomes.
    • Report regularly to the CEO on progress against the vision and growth plan, adjusting course where needed.
    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, markets, and revenue streams aligned with the firm’s strengths.
    • Represent Brokerage & Co with key clients, industry bodies, regulators, and strategic partners.

    2. Team Optimisation & Management

    • Optimise team structures, capability, and resourcing across the business to support growth and service delivery.
    • Set clear accountabilities and performance expectations for team leaders, and coach them to deliver.
    • Build collaboration between business areas, removing silos and bottlenecks that slow execution.

    3. Cross-Business Focus & Alignment

    • Maintain visibility and focus across all business areas, ensuring each is aligned to the CEO’s vision and company priorities, and performing to plan.
    • Establish operating rhythms — reviews, reporting, and planning cycles — that keep every business area on track.
    • Balance attention and resources across business areas, intervening early where performance or focus drifts.

    4. Commercial & Financial Performance

    • Own the P&L: set budgets, manage costs, and deliver revenue and profit targets.
    • Monitor business performance against KPIs and report regularly to the CEO.

    5. Operations, Risk & Compliance

    • Ensure the business operates in full compliance with all applicable licensing, legislative, and regulatory obligations.
    • Maintain a robust risk management framework covering operational, financial, and reputational risk.
    • Drive continuous improvement in systems, processes, and client service standards.

    6. People & Culture

    • Lead, mentor, and develop the senior leadership team and broader workforce.
    • Champion a culture of integrity, accountability, and high performance.
    • Oversee recruitment, retention, and succession planning for key roles.

    Qualifications & Experience

    • 10+ years’ senior leadership experience within brokerage, financial services, or a closely related industry.
    • Demonstrated success leading a business or major division to strong commercial outcomes.
    • Track record of building, optimising, and managing high-performing, multi-disciplinary teams.
    • Proven ability to execute a growth plan and hold multiple business areas to account against it.
    • Proven experience managing P&L, budgets, and board-level reporting.
    • Strong understanding of the regulatory and compliance environment relevant to brokerage operations in Australia.
    • Relevant tertiary qualifications in business, finance, commerce, or a related discipline; MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification highly regarded.
    • Relevant industry licences and accreditations (or eligibility to obtain them).

    Skills & Attributes

    • Exceptional commercial acumen and strategic judgement.
    • Outstanding relationship-building, negotiation, and communication skills.
    • Decisive, resilient leadership style with the ability to inspire and unite teams.
    • High personal integrity and a strong client-service ethos.
    • Comfortable operating with autonomy and accountability at Board level.
