Key Responsibilities Include:
- End-to-end payroll processing across regular, off-cycle, and termination payments
- Ensuring accurate calculation of salaries, overtime, allowances, deductions, and back payments
- Managing payroll compliance across tax, superannuation, STP, and industrial relations requirements
- Interpreting awards, entitlements, and statutory obligations
- Maintaining payroll data and employee records in Workday
- Reconciling payroll accounts, including PAYG, payroll tax, superannuation, and WorkCover
- Supporting month-end activities, reporting, and payroll journals
- Administering employee benefits and salary sacrifice arrangements (e.g. novated leases, commuter club)
- Responding to payroll queries and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner
- Supporting audits, year-end processes, and regulatory submissions
About You Youāre a payroll specialist who understands the importance of both accuracy and experience. Youāre confident managing end-to-end payroll, comfortable navigating complexity, and take a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Proven experience in end-to-end payroll processing
- Strong working knowledge of Fair Work legislation, superannuation, and payroll tax
- Experience interpreting awards and employment entitlements
- Solid understanding of Single Touch Payroll (STP) and ATO compliance requirements
- Experience with payroll reconciliations, reporting, and year-end processes
- Strong attention to detail and high level of numerical accuracy
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work with a range of stakeholders
- Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion
- Experience with Workday (strongly preferred)
