Requirements
- Provide decisive technical direction within Scrum teams and align technical work with architectural standards and strategic business goals.
- Collaborate with Architects to refine solution designs and contribute to the architecture runway in large-scale environments.
- Identify technical risks and failure points and address non-functional requirements including security, scalability, performance, observability, and accessibility.
- Manage technical debt and quality gates and evolve development practices and test automation frameworks.
- Lead technical planning during PI Planning, including enabler prioritization and complex dependency mapping.
- Evaluate emerging technologies, particularly artificial intelligence, to improve development efficiency and conformance to standard frameworks.
- Contribute to the Tech Leads Guild by developing shared standards and reusable technical assets.
- Guide developers through complex system designs and develop their architectural thinking capabilities.
- Be willing and able to obtain an AGSV Security clearance.
- Have valid work rights for Australia and be willing to undergo comprehensive background checks, including probity and police checks.
Responsibilities
- Define and maintain a technical design approach that keeps solutions resilient, secure, scalable, and operationally supportable.
- Anticipate and mitigate technical risks by identifying failure points and implementing enterprise-grade solutions.
- Ensure solution intent is realized while maintaining system design integrity and operational supportability.
- Collaborate with Architects on the architectural runway and influence enterprise patterns.
- Lead the technical work during PI Planning, prioritize enablers, and map complex dependencies across sprints.
- Guide the Scrum team in managing technical debt and maintaining rigorous quality gates.
- Ensure performance, security, observability, and accessibility requirements are addressed in deliverables.
- Represent engineering excellence in the Tech Leads Guild and contribute shared standards and reusable assets.
- Mentor developers in architectural thinking, engineering best practices, and continuous improvement.
