Role Description
Your primary focus will be as a VSD and PLC Sales professionalĀ at Universal Systems, you will be responsible for identifying and pursuing sales opportunities, managing customer relationships, providing product training, and supporting the sales team. You will need to understand customer needs, recommend appropriate solutions, and close sales deals to achieve targets.
Qualifications / Requirements
- Existing Customer Relationships
- Strong Communication and Customer Service skills
- Experience in Sales, specifically around Industrial Automation
- Proven track record in achieving sales targets
- Excellent problem-solving and negotiation skills
- Ability to work independently and part of a team
- Familiarity with automation and industrial products
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum 1-2 years of technical sales experience in the engineering industry is required
- Candidates must have Australian work rights
What you’ll be doing
- Proactively identify and qualify new sales leads through prospecting, networking and responding to inbound inquiries
- Engage with potential clients to understand their requirements and pain points, and propose appropriate engineering solutions
- Prepare and deliver persuasive sales presentations, demonstrations and proposals to secure new business
- Collaborate closely with the technical team to ensure seamless delivery of products and services
- Maintain detailed records of all customer interactions and sales activities
- Continuously expand your technical knowledge to stay ahead of industry trends and competition
- Contribute to the development of sales strategies and assist with the implementation of marketing initiatives
What we’re looking for
- Demonstrated experience as a sales professional in the engineering or technical sales industry
- Strong technical aptitude and the ability to understand complex engineering principles and products
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate technical information into compelling value propositions
- A consultative, customer-centric approach to sales and the ability to build long-lasting relationships
- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets
- Mandarin speaking will be well regarded.
Pay: $90,000.00 ā $150,000.00 per year
