Requirements
- Tertiary qualifications in Finance, Commerce, Economics, Engineering or a related discipline
- 5 years’ experience in infrastructure, real asset, transactions, investment banking or related analytical role
- Thorough understanding of the real assets market – most likely gained from direct experience in one or more real asset sectors
- Strong analytical skills, discounted cash flow (DCF) and other valuation methodologies, investment return calculations and portfolio/fund modelling, willingness to learn and develop new skill sets
- Knowledge of investment markets and valuation
- Highly skilled in financial modelling and analysis, with the capability to develop and maintain sophisticated financial models and attribution analysis of financial performance. Experience with long-dated discounted cash flow, regulated or contracted revenue, and project finance and debt structures is highly regarded
Responsibilities
- Assisting Fund Managers in the preparation of the Fund/Portfolio investment strategy, plans, models, etc.
- Managing relationships with internal stakeholders primarily Asset Managers, Transaction Managers and Finance
- Assisting in the preparation of marketing materials and presentations, working closely with the Investor Relations and Marketing teams
- Analysing the strategic and financial impact of acquisitions and divestments and perform other financial analysis
- Providing analytical support for fund restructuring, capital events, asset realisations and related party transfers, including preparation of supporting materials for Investment Committee and Board approval
