ABOUT JOB

We are seeking a Finance and Investment Officer to join the Broadband Strategy Section in Canberra.

Key Duties

• Review and analyse quarterly subscription notices and equity requests under the Commonwealth Equity Funding Agreement
• Prepare delegate approval documents and supporting analysis
• Prepare briefings, reports and visual materials for senior executives
• Support Senate Estimates material, share certificate tabling and equity-related administration
• Contribute to risk, regulatory and value-for-money assessments
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including during review and audit processes

Key Skills and Capabilities

• Strong financial analysis skills, including interpreting financial statements, finance plans and investment proposals
• Experience in investment assurance, approvals or financial governance
• Excellent written communication, with the ability to prepare clear briefings for senior executives
• Ability to work with complex, sensitive government or commercial information
• Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship skills
• Sound judgement in assessing risk and value for money
