As the Head of Compliance, you will lead compliance activities for a cryptocurrency exchange operating in regulated markets, based in Melbourne, Sydney, or Brisbane (hybrid), ensuring adherence to Australian and international regulatory standards.

Responsibilities:

* Design and implement the global compliance strategy, with a focus on Australian and APAC regulatory requirements.

* Oversee AML/CTF programmes, licensing, and regulatory reporting for the exchange’s operations.

* Lead interactions with regulators (e.g., AUSTRAC, ASIC) and manage compliance audits and examinations.

* Build and mentor a compliance team, fostering a culture of integrity and regulatory awareness.

Qualifications Needed:

* 8+ years of compliance experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role within crypto, fintech, or financial services.

* Deep knowledge of cryptocurrency regulations, AML/CTF frameworks, and Australian licensing regimes.

* Proven track record of engaging with regulators and implementing compliance programmes.

* Strong strategic thinking, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
