The Third Engineer Will Be Responsible For

• Safe operation of the main engine in accordance with Class and Standing Orders
• Safe operation of the boiler in accordance with Class and Standing Orders
• Performing day work in conjunction with a rotating 24 hour system of Gear Turn including fuel and lube oil purifiers, air compressors, boiler and boiler feed water control and heat exchanges as directed
• Any other duties as required

The Skills You Will Bring To Our Team

• Educational requirement: as per AMSA Marine Order 72 – Engineer Class 3 ( required)
• AMSA Engine Watchkeeper (Class 3) CoC/CoR Unlimited
• Minimum 6 months sea time as an Engine Watchkeeper
• Certificate of Safety Training (STCW) (desirable)
• Work Safely at Heights Certification (desirable)
• Enter and Work in Confined Space Certification (desirable)
• Hold, or be eligible to obtain a Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC) (required)
• Australian Citizen or unlimited Australian Working Rights
• Living in Australia
