Requirements
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field and 2+ years of technical engineering experience coding in languages including C#, Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, or Python, or equivalent experience.
- At least 2 years of demonstrated experience in frontend or full-stack development.
- The ability to learn new skills and thrive in a feedback-driven environment.
- The ability to drive collaboration within the team and across squads, consider others’ ideas, implement new methods, resolve disagreements, and empathize with users.
- Experience with GitHub Copilot or similar tools and the ability to leverage them for productivity gains.
Responsibilities
- Work with stakeholders to understand customer, business, and technical requirements for a defined set of features.
- Identify dependencies and contribute to design documents with limited oversight.
- Break down larger work items into smaller deliverables and provide reliable estimates.
- Build and implement features for Next.js and Contentful CMS applications and supporting Azure Functions.
- Use DevOps practices to maintain and improve the full-stack application, including infrastructure, security, and deployments.
- Participate in an on-call roster to monitor and mitigate system or service degradation and downtime.
- Stay current in software development, including Next.js, TypeScript, Infrastructure as Code, and current AI tools.
Desired Qualifications
- Proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript and experience with web application development using frameworks such as React or Vue.
- Ability and interest to learn new languages and application programming interfaces.
- Experience with or interest in infrastructure and security.
- Experience building scalable services in Node.js, C#, or Python.
- Focus on comprehensive automated testing and documentation.
- Experience optimizing performance and tracking down and fixing customer-facing issues.
- Experience with online video and contributing to technically challenging problems.
