JOB  DETAILS

As Accountant , you will be responsible for:

• day-to-day record keeping and reconciliations;
• managing accounts payable & receivable functions;
• payroll workflow;
• financial reporting and month-end close;
• supporting cash-flow forecasting;
• preparing BAS, GST & payroll tax submissions;
• maintaining accurate financial records;
• assisting in internal & external audits;
• supporting financial process improvements;
• liaising with stakeholder on financial queries;
• general ledger maintenance;
• supporting budget preparation & monitoring; and
• ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Full-Time Salary: $80,000 – $90,000

ABOUT YOU:

To be successful in this position, you will need to have:

• appropriate tertiary qualifications in Accounting/Business/Finance;
• CA/CPA registration preferred;
• at least 2+ years experience in a similar role;
• experience with accounting work for private organisations;
• experience in the hospitality sector highly advantageous;
• proficiency in accounting software and strong Excel/computer skills;
• demonstrated knowledge of Australian accounting standards and regulations;
• confidence working with people in all levels of business;
• high attention to detail;
• exceptional time management and organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities;
• excellent communication skills;
• analytical and problem-solving skills;
• willingness to take initiative
• experience with weekly/monthly/yearly financial reporting;
• ability to work independently and as part of a team; and
• commitment to learning and growing on the job.
