Requirements
- 5+ years of commercial software engineering experience building production-grade applications
- Strong backend engineering experience, ideally with .NET / C#
- Experience designing and shipping distributed or SaaS systems at scale
- Hands-on experience with LLM APIs and modern AI tooling (Azure OpenAI, OpenAI, Anthropic, or similar)
- Familiarity with agentic patterns and frameworks including orchestration, RAG, prompt engineering, and tool use
- Strong understanding of software engineering fundamentals, including API design, testing strategies, and maintainable architecture
- Experience with observability, debugging, and production support practices
- Comfortable contributing across the full stack where required (TypeScript/JavaScript, modern frontend frameworks)
- Experience working with cloud platforms and modern engineering workflows (Git, CI/CD, Kubernetes, Azure preferred)
Responsibilities
- Design and build agentic workflows and AI-powered product capabilities, including orchestration, tool use, retrieval, and multi-step reasoning
- Develop shared AI platform capabilities, frameworks, and engineering patterns that support adoption across StarRez teams
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure, and production-ready solutions
- Evaluate AI models, providers, and frameworks, making pragmatic decisions about adoption and implementation
- Contribute to engineering quality through clean architecture, testing, observability, code reviews, and operational support
- Stay engaged with the evolving AI landscape and help shape platform direction and engineering best practices
Desired Qualifications
- Experience building internal platforms, SDKs, or reusable engineering frameworks
- Familiarity with async or event-driven architectures
- Experience with evaluation, traceability, and operational patterns for AI systems
- Exposure to DevOps, infrastructure-as-code, or SRE practices
- Experience mentoring engineers and contributing to technical leadership
