About The Role

Our Audit team is crucial to our business. They work closely with Risk and Compliance to assess internal risk management and compliance processes, and to make sure they’re running efficiently.

We’re looking for a highly motivated Internal Auditor with experience auditing financial services operations. You’ll provide assurance over governance and control frameworks and assist the company in achieving its strategic goals while delivering more value to customers.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Partnering with the local Head of Internal Audit to develop a risk-based internal audit plan for operations in Australia.
• Delivering end-to-end internal audits, including developing the scope, executing the risk and control assessment, formalising exceptions and findings, and agreeing on management actions
• Formalising internal audit deliverables, templates, and procedures
• Engaging with stakeholders to maintain an understanding of business priorities, such as product launches, to inform the team’s risk assessment
• Validating management’s completion of actions related to prior-noted audit findings, including against the agreed success criteria
• Reporting to internal governance forums on the progress and output of audit deliverables and findings

What You’ll Need

• 5+ years of experience in an audit related-role, preferably with experience in banking, financial services, or other regulated environment
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements applicable to banks in Australia, financial services licensees, and credit licensees
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to operate through ambiguity
• A professional risk mindset to apply it to an agile organisation in a dynamic group structure
• A desire to dive deeper and learn about our product suite and value proposition
• Proficiency working with and interpreting data using SQL, SAS, Python, or R
• Impressive critical thinking skills
• Impeccable interpersonal and communication skills

Nice to have

• Experience auditing agile organisations
• A CIA, CA, and/or ACA
• Experience auditing credit, finance, or financial crime operations
