What you’ll be doing

• Designing and building robust backend systems
• Developing and maintaining REST APIs and integrations
• Leading system architecture discussions and ensuring scalability
• Mentoring and guiding other developers
• Collaborating with product and engineering teams to deliver key features
• Writing clean, maintainable, and high-quality code

Skills & Experience Essential

• 3+ years professional experience in backend development
• Strong experience with Python/Django or Golang
• Experience with system design and building scalable solutions
• Strong knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred)
• Proven experience designing REST APIs
• Experience with version control
• Experience prioritising and mentoring other developers

Nice to have

• Startup experience (flexible, adaptable, thrives in change)
• Programming knowledge in other languages
• Exposure to GCP or Kubernetes
• CI/CD / DevOps experience
• Mobile or web development experience
• Familiarity with Scrum or Kanban
