JOB  SUMMARY

Key responsibilities include:

• Design and deliver enterprise-grade platforms that are natively reusable and extensible across SBS Technology
• Enable Product Delivery teams across SBS to adopt Cloud and DevOps best practices
• Create solution designs that address scalability, reliability, security and cost optimisation across SBS’s cloud platforms
• Identify opportunities to improve the performance of SBS’s cloud platforms, systems and services
• Identify opportunities for reducing SBS’s cloud costs.
• Uplift the cyber security posture of SBS’s cloud platforms, systems and services
• Collaborate closely with Software Developers and QA Engineers across SBS’s streaming, publishing, data and AI teams

This is a full-time, ongoing role at Artamon office. The candidates will need full working rights in Australia to be considered for this role.

About you

We’re looking for someone who brings:

• 5+ years total experience working in an engineering role with 3+ years of experience with Public Cloud Providers, especially AWS.
• Strong understanding of Internet Plumbing (CDN, proxies, DNS, TCP/IP stack, HTTP protocol, TLS certificates)
• Strong experience automating the deployment of Cloud-based infrastructure using Terraform
• Strong experience automating the deployment of applications (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes, Serverless)
• Strong experience with Build and Release engineering practices, including Git workflow techniques and CI/CD patterns
• Strong experience with observability tools and services such as Grafana, Prometheus, Elastic, New Relic and AWS CloudWatch
• Experience across scripting and programming languages (e.g. Golang, Python, bash)
• Experience designing reusable, extensible, enterprise-grade platforms and owning architecture decisions and platform strategy.
