    As a Credit Analyst at our client HUB, you’ll play a key role in assessing and managing mortgage applications, ensuring high credit quality while delivering fast and customer-centric decisions. You’ll work at the heart of a growing fintech, contributing to smarter processes, automation initiatives, and directly influencing business outcomes. In this fast-paced role, you’ll collaborate closely with internal teams and external partners to make confident, informed credit decisions that help Australians move forward on their homeownership journey.

    What you’ll do:

    • Assess residential mortgage applications from submission through to settlement, ensuring timely and accurate decisions.
    • Analyse financial documents, valuations, and other supporting materials to identify risks and determine suitability.
    • Apply sound judgment to both conforming and non-conforming applications, balancing customer experience with risk management.
    • Work closely with brokers, aggregators, and internal teams to manage queries, resolve issues, and keep deals on track.
    • Deliver outstanding service and communication to ensure a smooth experience for all parties involved.
    • Ensure all credit decisions align with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and responsible lending obligations.
    • Maintain accurate records and audit-ready documentation that upholds Bridgit’s commitment to high-quality credit standards.

     

    What we’re looking for:

    • 3+ years of experience in credit risk assessment, residential underwriting, or mortgage credit analysis within banking, non-bank, or specialist lending environments.
    • In-depth understanding of residential credit policy, financial statement analysis, self-employed income verification, and living expense assessments.
    • Comprehensive knowledge of responsible lending guidelines and industry regulations.
    • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and risk-assessment skills with high attention to detail.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills to explain credit decisions clearly and collaborate effectively with stakeholders
