    Requirements
    • The candidate must have 12+ years in product or user experience design, including significant experience with complex, system-heavy products such as B2B software as a service, developer platforms, financial products, or payments products.
    • The candidate must have at least 4 years of experience leading designers, including managing senior designers or design managers.
    • The candidate must have experience in fintech, payments, banking, treasury, or adjacent financial products, ideally including business accounts and global money movement.
    • The candidate must have deep strengths in interaction design, information architecture, and user experience for complex workflows and data-heavy products, including flows, states, permissions, object relationships, and edge cases.
    • The candidate must be able to set vision, align stakeholders, and lead multi-quarter initiatives across multiple domains and teams.
    • The candidate must be able to partner on user research and quantitative analysis to inform decisions, validate designs, and measure impact.
    • The candidate must have strong written and verbal communication skills and be able to make complex financial and technical concepts accessible to diverse audiences.
    • The candidate must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with evolving priorities and ambiguous constraints.
    Responsibilities
    • Define the design strategy for how customers understand and use cash, high-yield, and credit accounts and inter-account transfers as their organization grows.
    • Partner with product manager leaders to frame problems, prioritize opportunities, and embed design early in product strategy.
    • Establish moving money into, within, and out of Airwallex as a user experience foundation for other product areas.
    • Oversee research, object modeling, interaction design, research and testing, and user interface design for the team’s products and features.
    • Set and maintain a high standard for user experience and user interface quality in complex, data-rich screens such as tables, charts, reconciliation views, and approvals across desktop, mobile web, and native mobile applications.
    • Ensure teams use research, experimentation, and product analytics to understand customer behavior.
    • Shape rituals, feedback practices, and shared standards that keep designers connected across regions and domains.
    • Collaborate with the design system team so the team’s experiences use and extend shared patterns.
    • Manage and develop senior and staff-level product designers across the Sydney and Singapore design studios, setting expectations for impact, craft, and ownership.
    • Develop effective collaboration practices with product managers and engineers from problem framing through launch and iteration.
    Desired Qualifications
    • Experience working with application programming interface products and developer-facing experiences.
    • A degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or a related field.
