Requirements
- To be successful in this role you should be a proven people leader with strong strategic thinking and business acumen.
- Ability to use data, digital and AI to improve operational efficiency
- Proven Product Owner experience, including ownership of product vision, roadmap, backlog prioritisation and delivery of business outcomes
- Change management experience on an end-to-end basis
- Capability Framework and skills taxonomy design
- Execution excellence & project management
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Ability to process, interpret and report data
- Experience with financial management reporting and risk reporting
Responsibilities
- Owns product ownership standards, playbooks, reference patterns and the quality bar.
- Owns the Practice’s contribution to the Westpac Delivery Lifecycle (WDLC) from a product ownership perspective.
- Owns the governance model, risk-informed deviation decisions and standard tooling for product ownership.
- Engages Risk, Legal and Compliance early so controls are embedded by design, not applied retrospectively.
- Runs the standards review cadence; retires, refreshes and adds standards based on evidence.
- Owns the capability maturity map, career pathways and skills framework.
- Owns training and learning pathways, the coaching approach and development goals guidance.
- Curates product ownership job architecture (with People, L&D and Job Architecture partners).
- Partners with People and L&D so capability pathways develop Practitioners to the defined standard.
