Requirements
- Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related discipline
- CA or CPA qualification
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Financial Controller, ideally within a hotel or hospitality environment
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards, compliance obligations, and statutory reporting
- Proficiency in accounting and payroll systems; experience with Zambion, PurchasePlus, and SunSystems is highly regarded
- Sound understanding of taxation, superannuation, long service leave, and National Employment Standards
- High attention to detail, strong commercial mindset, and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
- Willingness to undergo a State Police Check as part of the recruitment process
Responsibilities
- Partner with the General Manager and hotel leadership team to support financial strategy, performance, and decision-making
- Deliver accurate and timely weekly, monthly, and annual financial reporting to Accor and ownership groups
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial planning processes
- Oversee payroll operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and alignment with legislative requirements
- Provide financial guidance on Management Agreements, Owners Corporation matters, and HMA compliance
- Drive continuous improvement across financial systems, controls, policies, and reporting processes
- Support department heads with financial analysis, reporting, and commercial insights to improve profitability
- Ensure compliance with Accor financial policies, WH&S obligations, and all relevant statutory and legislative requirements
