Requirements
- A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Hands-on experience with AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or similar.
- Solid computer science fundamentals and interest in the full software lifecycle, including testing, shipping and production support.
- Familiarity with, or aptitude to quickly learn, Node.js, TypeScript, Angular, PostgreSQL, AWS including Lambda and ECS Fargate, Nx monorepo, Buildkite, Jest, Storybook and Playwright.
- A valid Employee Working With Children Check.
- A satisfactory National Police Check.
- Unrestricted work rights in Australia.
Responsibilities
- Take well-scoped work from ticket through production while collaborating with the Product Manager and fellow engineers.
- Write and review clean, well-tested code.
- Deliver incrementally using feature flags and staged rollouts.
- Document meaningful technical decisions using Decision Logs.
- Use AI tooling including prompts, skills, agent harnesses and in-repo context files.
- Participate in code reviews as both reviewer and reviewee.
- Work with the support team to triage and resolve production issues.

- Curiosity about the product and business.
- An eye for quality that identifies unnecessary abstractions, duplicated logic, subtle bugs and code that passes tests but misses the mark.
- A habit of tracing problems to their root before selecting a solution.
