JOB  SUMMARY

We are currently looking for a motivated and talented Lead C++ Software Engineer to join our Canberra Development team. In this role, you will work collaboratively with a team of highly experienced developers from around the world on core technologies and critical real-time systems that drive the Our client platform. A financial background is not required; however, you must be able to learn new concepts quickly and apply them to C++ code, design and algorithms.

Lead engineers should expect to spend, on average, around 50% of their time managing their engineering team and 50% on actual coding.

Required Skills

• At least 5 years of industry experience in C++ development.
• At least 3 years of technical management or lead experience.
• Good debugging skills.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented design principles.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience contributing to employee performance review processes.
• Relevant tertiary qualification.

Additional experience in any of the following will be highly regarded:

• Agile methodologies and processes.
• Multithreaded programming.
