    As a Mechanical Engineer, you will lead reliability improvement initiatives, develop maintenance strategies, and enhance equipment performance across plant operations. Working closely with key stakeholders and OEMs, you will deliver reliability reports, implement condition monitoring programs, and support the development of graduate engineers.

    Key Result Areas Include

    • Lead reliability and asset improvement initiatives across mobile maintenance operations to improve equipment performance, availability, and lifecycle cost.
    • Conduct failure investigations and root cause analyses to identify recurring equipment issues and implement sustainable corrective actions.
    • Develop, review, and maintain maintenance strategies within the CMMS, including preventive maintenance programs, inspection schedules, and critical equipment documentation.
    • Design, implement, and continuously improve condition monitoring programs, leveraging technologies such as oil analysis, machine health alerts and other predictive maintenance techniques to identify emerging equipment risks.
    • Analyse reliability, maintenance, and operational data to produce site and corporate-level reporting, identify trends, quantify improvement opportunities, and drive execution of reliability action plans.
    • Work closely with operations, maintenance teams, OEMs, and suppliers to resolve technical issues, improve equipment reliability, and evaluate new technologies and maintenance practices.
    • Develop reliability processes and standards while mentoring graduate engineers and supporting the growth of technical capability across the asset reliability function.

    To Be Successful In This Role, You Will Have

    • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
    • 3–5 years’ experience in a Reliability or Mechanical Engineering role within a mining, heavy industry, or processing environment.
    • Demonstrated understanding of asset management, reliability engineering principles, and maintenance best practices.
    • Experience developing maintenance strategies, conducting reliability analyses, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present technical information to a range of stakeholders.
    • Proven ability to build effective working relationships and collaborate with operations, maintenance teams, OEMs, and contractors.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel for data analysis and reporting.
