Requirements
- 2+ years of consulting experience in defence and/or technology required; candidates with consulting experience strongly preferred
- In lieu of consulting experience, 3+ years minimum industry experience required; 4-6+ years of industry experience strongly preferred
- Experience with technology or digital strategy to include developing technology strategies, forming business cases, supporting large-scale technology transformations, or assisting AI transformations
- Bachelor’s Degree required (advanced degree preferred)
- Fluency in English
- Successful candidate is subject to obtain and maintain an Australian government security clearance
- Strong business acumen and problem-solving capabilities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills to interact with internal and external stakeholders while working in a global collaborative team environment
- Self-starting and entrepreneurial spirit
Responsibilities
- Work in a growing global team delivering value to clients via individual expertise and/or institutionalized BCG Vantage assets (products, tools, data, workshops, frameworks, surveys, domain-specific data and related expertise, etc.).
- Contribute on cases and proposals by contributing relevant analysis and insights and help case teams create strong impact for the client.
- Occasional travel to serve clients onsite during staffing assignments to understand client requirements, and design / develop solutions.
- Support commercialisation efforts for the topic/sector working, in conjunction with business leaders, through contributing analysis and insights to proposals, client workshops and marketing materials.
- Contribute to developing intellectual property & assets for the business and assist in onboarding and training junior colleagues based on your topic/sector expertise.
- Defence & Security topic focus will primarily support engagement with Australian defence ministry and industry clients, providing expertise and insights to advance client objectives.
- Topics include acquisition, sustainment, shipbuilding, organisational design, and IT and technology transformations.
- Help defence clients to adapt to a fast-changing security environment that increasingly depends upon spurring innovation and leveraging technology for national defence.
Desired Qualifications
- Strong knowledge and experience in the Australian defence enterprise, or prior military or civilian service in the Australian Ministry of Defence or the Australian Defence Force, is highly desirable
- Bachelor’s Degree required (advanced degree preferred)
