JOB SUMMARY
Requirements
- Knowledge of high-voltage line and substation construction.
- Skill in first-principles estimating.
- Advanced Excel and estimating systems proficiency.
- An engineering degree or trade qualification.
- At least 8 years of infrastructure experience.
Responsibilities
- Develop first-principles estimates for overhead transmission lines and/or substations from 66 kV to 500 kV.
- Interpret drawings, construction methods, and market pricing to build competitive tender submissions.
- Collaborate with the National Transmission Estimating Manager and construction, engineering, and procurement teams.
- Support tender governance, reviews, and best-and-final-offer responses.
- Build first-principles cost models.
- Deliver accurate quantity takeoffs.
- Coordinate requests for quotation and assess pricing.
- Maintain cost databases.
- Define construction methods and rates.
- Support tender pricing reviews.
