This is a senior individual contributor role suited to someone who thrives at the intersection of engineering, financial modelling and enterprise systems—delivering accurate budgets, robust forecasts and data-driven insights that improve asset and maintenance strategies.About the Role

Reporting to the Supervisor, you will support significant fixed-plant OPEX and CAPEX portfolios, partnering closely with Asset Management, Planning & Scheduling, Finance and site leadership. Your work will anchor the site’s cost performance through budget development, cost analytics, strategy economics, BI reporting and high-quality data governance across SAP and our work management systems. You will grow the strategic and financial skillset of an Asset Manager while remaining an individual contributor.

    Key responsibilities:

    • Build and maintain detailed OPEX and CAPEX budgets and forecasts at equipment and strategy level
    • Deliver monthly plan-vs-actual reporting, variance analysis and unit-cost insights
    • Analyse key cost drivers including materials, labour, contractors and downtime, and track savings initiatives
    • Translate engineering analysis outcomes into financially quantified maintenance strategy improvements (NPV/IRR)
    • Design and maintain Power BI dashboards integrating work order, vendor, materials and budget and actuals cost data
    • Ensure strong SAP S/4HANA, FieldGlass and MOS/WMS data hygiene and contractor cost reconciliation
    • Support outage and preventative maintenance planning through accurate cost and materials alignment
    • Coach planners and supervisors on financial discipline, data quality and continuous improvement practices
    • Prepare management packs and facilitate regular cost and performance reviews with senior stakeholders

You are analytical, commercially minded and confident operating in complex operational environments. You enjoy working with large datasets, challenging assumptions and influencing decisions through clear, evidence-based insights.

    You will bring:

Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Finance, Economics or Commerce are valued, however, we also welcome applicants from trade or maintenance backgrounds who have built strong CMMS capability, analytical skills and commercial acumen through experience and further study.

    • Strong experience in asset-intensive or fixed-plant environments, ideally within maintenance or reliability.
    • Demonstrated capability in budgeting, forecasting and cost modelling for large operations
    • Advanced CMMS literacy (SAP skills highly regarded), with strong Power BI and Excel skills
    • Experience applying strategy economics, PMO/Criticality and risk-based maintenance principles
    • The ability to coach and influence cross-functional stakeholders to deliver initiatives and uplift cost control and data quality improvements.
    • A proactive, improvement-focused mindset aligned to safety, compliance and operational excellence
