About the Role

We seek a proactive and detail‑driven Financial Accountant to join our group finance team. This role is responsible for maintaining high‑quality financial accounting across our corporate entities and supporting core month‑end, reporting, and audit processes.

Key Responsibilities

• • Maintain the corporate general ledger, ensuring accuracy and integrity
  • Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations and assist with month‑end close
  • Prepare income statement variance analyses
  • Contribute to the monthly executive report and forecast processes
  • Support half‑year and year‑end reporting, including audit deliverables
  • Assist with preparation of statutory financial statements and audit committee reporting
  • Support documentation and maintenance of accounting policies and guidance
  • Joint venture accounting and reporting
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders across group finance, shared services and sites
  • Contribute to process improvements and enhancement of financial controls and reporting initiatives
  • Demonstrate and live the Evolution values of safety, accountability, excellence and respect

About You

You are an enthusiastic accounting professional who enjoys working in a structured, collaborative and fast‑paced environment. You combine technical competence with strong communication skills, and a willingness to embrace all challenges that come your way. There are lots of exciting projects to sink your teeth into, including automated consolidations, reconciliation tools, and transformation initiatives. We’re always improving!

What you bring:

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
• CA/CPA qualification
• Minimum five years’ accounting experience, ideally in a corporate environment
• Big 4 and listed company desirable. Will consider 1st movers if commercially astute
• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and reconciliations
• Experience in financial reporting
• Exposure to financial statement preparation
• Experience in mining or asset‑intensive industries (advantageous but not essential)
• High attention to detail, analytical mindset and a continuous improvement approach
• Ability to build strong working relationships across teams
