Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience as a data analyst or in a similar role.
- Prior experience developing and maintaining dashboards, reports, and data visualisations.
- Proficiency in data manipulation and analysis using SQL, Excel, and Power BI.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability to work with large data sets and understand interactions between relevant data.
- Permanent unrestricted legal authorisation to work in Australia.
- Successful candidates must complete background checks, including reference and police checks, during onboarding.
Responsibilities
- Prepare timely, high-quality monthly and quarterly reports for executive, board, and regulatory submissions.
- Design and build reports and dashboards that provide actionable insight and commentary for management.
- Perform ad hoc data analysis and prepare clear, concise reports articulating findings.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver data and analysis solutions that meet their requirements.
- Identify and implement enhancements to current reporting processes.
- Assist in automating processes using data.
- Develop expert knowledge of IRESS, Capital IQ, and Bloomberg to augment internal data analytics.
- Undertake data quality initiatives, including exploring datasets, data lineage, data remediation, and data quality monitoring, to ensure the integrity of regulatory and management reporting.
Desired Qualifications
- A recently completed business-related degree in commerce, business analytics, data science, or applied mathematics.
- Experience with data programming languages such as Python and/or R.
- A diligent record-keeping practice.
- Curious and investigative problem-solving mindset.
- Ability to work independently with reasonable supervision and guidance from more senior peers.
