Requirements
- Demonstrated ability to manage and build diverse teams.
- Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical employees and stakeholders.
- Experience as an Engineering Manager in a technology, product, or creative company.
- Senior-level engineering experience and/or people-management experience in a technology or start-up environment.
- An organised, methodical, and detail-oriented approach to work.
- Deep hands-on engineering experience related to user interface work or development of custom, in-house rendering technology.
- Experience in low-level engine/rendering development or user interface/user experience work closer to the user.
Responsibilities
- Lead, coordinate, and align diverse engineering functions.
- Deliver feedback and take part in reviews and performance management.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external partners and relevant third parties.
- Perform hands-on engineering and continue coding to maintain engineering skills.
- Support interdepartmental cooperation for product and feature releases, ongoing updates, and patches.
- Work directly with team leads and the executive to align product, quality assurance, testing, and research and development functions around clear communication, leadership, and goals.
- Create and oversee project timelines and milestones to improve sustainability and efficiency in the development process.
- Complete the onboarding process and get to know colleagues.
- Build an understanding of product development practices, processes, and frameworks.
- Develop relationships with key stakeholders, team leaders, and executive team members.
- Prepare and support execution of core features.
- Contribute to shipping products.
