Requirements
- 2+ years of professional working experience in energy markets.
- Proven quantitative and analytical skills. You’ll be relied upon to discover, explore, visualise, and communicate trends and patterns in numerical data, in ways that provide value to our users.
- Experience writing clearly and concisely, with the ability to distil complex topics into accessible, jargon-free language.
- Critical thinking skills. At Modo Energy, you will have the platform to become an influential thought leader within the renewable energy space, so you’ll need to develop your own thoughtful opinions and ask insightful questions of those around you.
- A builder mentality, with a track record of using AI tools, coding assistants, automations, or data pipelines to improve analytical and research processes.
- Comfortable working collaboratively in small teams, with an interest in the pace, ownership, and problem-solving that comes with that dynamic.
Responsibilities
- Producing data-led, analytical content about power markets and asset operations, in a variety of formats, mainly written articles and videos, to communicate high-value insights to our audience.
- Building AI-native workflows and automations that make the research and content process faster, sharper, and more scalable.
- Supporting local and global data science, product, and sales teams through research outputs, market knowledge, and AI-enabled analytical tools.
- Staying up to date with the latest news across markets and policy, and communicating this within the company and to the wider industry.
- Getting to know our users, building your network, and staying up to date with the latest developments in the clean energy industry.
- Working collaboratively with teams across the business to make sure the organisation is aligned and giving our users clear value across our products, content, and customer-facing work.
Desired Qualifications
- In-depth knowledge of how the electricity system works and how power is traded, with some experience of how battery energy storage systems earn money.
- Experience carrying out complex data analysis in Python.
- Experience public speaking and/or presenting on video.
- Existing network in the energy storage world.
