Your Typical Day Will Consist Of
- Manage and process the end-to-end weekly payroll process for approximately 600 employees, including salaried employees and those covered by Enterprise Agreements.
- Leading, mentoring, and supporting the Payroll team to ensure high performance and continuous improvement.
- Ensuring payroll is processed accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with legislative and company requirements.
- Maintaining employee payroll records and ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
- Overseeing payroll compliance with relevant legislation, awards, enterprise agreements, taxation, superannuation, and payroll-related obligations.
- Managing payroll reporting, reconciliations, and audit requirements.
- Identifying and implementing improvements to payroll systems, processes, and controls.
- Providing expert payroll advice and support to internal stakeholders.
What We Are Looking For
- 10+ years’ payroll experience, including substantial experience in a Payroll Manager or Payroll Supervisor role.
- Demonstrated experience leading and developing payroll teams.
- Advanced proficiency across Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation, awards, Enterprise Agreements, taxation, and superannuation requirements.
- Exceptional attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and compliance.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and meet strict deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new systems and processes.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with a collaborative approach.
- The ability and desire to learn to configure payroll systems
