Key Responsibilities
- Drive new business acquisition across Metro NSW within:
- Independent grocery and supermarket networks
- Convenience channel
- Specialty and ethnic retailers
- Selected foodservice accounts
- Leverage existing industry relationships and contact base to accelerate market entry
- Execute structured route-to-market (RTM) strategies to maximise distribution reach
- Conduct in-store presentations, product pitches, and commercial negotiations
- Secure purchase orders (POs) and onboard new accounts
- Develop and manage a pipeline of qualified leads and opportunities
- Ensure repeat order generation and account retention
- Provide ongoing market intelligence, including competitor activity, pricing benchmarks, and category trends
Candidate Profile
- Minimum 5+ years’ experience in FMCG sales, food distribution, or wholesale commodities
- Demonstrated track record in B2B sales and account acquisition
- Established network of buyers and decision-makers within Metro NSW retail channels
- Strong understanding of retail buying cycles, margin structures, and trade terms
- Highly self-directed with the ability to operate independently in a commission-driven environment
- Commercially driven with strong negotiation and closing capability
- Own vehicle and willingness to conduct extensive field activity
