Requirements
- Degree in Engineering, Project Management, or related discipline
- Proven experience delivering large-scale, complex engineering, automation, or materials handling system projects
- Background in materials handling systems, warehouse automation, fast-moving consumer goods, high-speed packaging, or integrated engineering environments
- Strong understanding of system layouts, design intent, and integration complexity
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in fast-paced environments
- Solid commercial acumen across contracts, budgets, variations, and cost control
- Proficiency with project planning tools such as Microsoft Project or similar project management software
- Ability to interpret AutoCAD layouts and system designs
- Strong reporting, communication, and stakeholder presentation skills
- Willingness to travel to customer sites locally and interstate
Responsibilities
- Full ownership of the project delivery phase, from contract review through to final handover
- Reviewing contracts to define scope, milestones, and key deliverables
- Leading development and management of integrated project schedules with a critical path focus
- Bringing together internal and external stakeholders to align on scope of works and execution strategy
- Managing project budgets, cost forecasting, and financial performance
- Identifying and managing unallocated costs, variations, and commercial risks
- Driving procurement, supplier commitments, and project supply chain performance
- Overseeing subcontractor engagement, performance, and sign-off for invoicing
- Leading risk management, change management, and issue resolution
- Managing project challenges including delays, scope changes, and extensions of time
- Supporting factory acceptance testing, site acceptance testing, commissioning, and customer acceptance testing
- Acting as the key client-facing lead, ensuring expectations are managed and met
