What you’ll do:

We are looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Analyst who will play a critical role in ensuring accurate and compliant payroll outcomes across the business. Reporting to the Payroll Delivery Manager, you will work closely with our offshore payroll team to validate payroll data, manage payroll exceptions, resolve complex payroll matters, support payroll reporting, and contribute to ongoing payroll system and process improvements.

In this role, you will:

• Coordinate and validate payroll inputs, ensuring payroll data is accurate, complete and approved before processing
• Support offshore payroll processing by coordinating timesheets, pay variations, leave and employee changes
• Perform pre- and post-payroll reconciliations, audit checks and exception reporting to ensure compliance and accuracy
• Support payroll compliance activities including superannuation, payroll tax, third-party deductions and statutory payments
• Act as an escalation point for complex payroll queries and support resolution of payroll issues, adjustments and off-cycle payments
• Partner with internal stakeholders and the offshore payroll provider to maintain high-quality payroll operations
• Support payroll projects, system enhancements, testing activities and legislative, Award and Enterprise Agreement updates

Maintain payroll records and documentation in line with business and legislative requirements

What you’ll bring:

• 3-5 years’ experience in end-to-end payroll processing
• Experience managing weekly, fortnightly and monthly payrolls across salaried and waged employee groups
• Strong understanding of payroll legislation, compliance and payroll controls
• Experience in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, ideally within retail or a similar industry
• Advanced Excel skills and experience working with payroll data and reconciliations

Exposure to payroll, HRIS and time & attendance systems such as Affinity Payroll, SuccessFactors and Kronos
