As a Cost Controller at AECOM, you will play a critical role in managing project costs, ensuring financial transparency, and supporting the project management team in making informed decisions.

• Develop and maintain project cost control systems, including budgets, forecasts, and reports.
• Monitor project expenditures and ensure adherence to budgetary limits.
• Analyse cost variances, identify trends, and provide recommendations for corrective actions.
• Collaborate with project managers and engineers to assess project performance and financial health.
• Prepare regular cost reports and presentations for stakeholders.
• Assist in the preparation of change orders and claims, ensuring proper documentation and justification.
• Conduct periodic audits and reviews of project costs and financial processes.
• Support project teams in understanding financial metrics and implications on project delivery.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Construction Management, or a related field.

Experience:

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in cost control, financial analysis, or project management within the construction or engineering industry.
• Proven track record of managing project budgets and cost forecasting.

Skills and Competencies

• Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Proficient in cost management software, project management tools, and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
