    This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive finance professional with strong accounting knowledge, analytical skills, and commercial awareness.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Prepare monthly and quarterly management accounts, including profit and loss, balance sheet, cash flow, and variance analysis.
    • Manage budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, month-end/year-end close, and financial reporting.
    • Monitor financial performance through KPI reporting and financial analysis, providing recommendations to support business planning and decision-making.
    • Develop and maintain effective financial controls, accounting policies, and ensure compliance with taxation, statutory, and regulatory requirements, including GST, BAS, and payroll.
    • Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
    • Liaise with external accountants, auditors, financial institutions, and government authorities on financial reporting, taxation, audit, and compliance matters.
    • Maintain accurate financial records and accounting documentation, and support the continuous improvement of accounting systems and financial processes.
    • Provide financial and commercial support to the Managing Director through budgeting, financial reporting, business planning, and performance analysis.

    About You

    To be successful in this role, you will possess:

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related discipline.
    • Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in a Financial Controller, Company Accountant, or similar accounting role.

    Skills & Experience

    • Strong experience in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial analysis.
    • Sound knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards, GST, BAS, payroll, taxation, and statutory compliance requirements.
    • Demonstrated experience managing general ledger, bank reconciliations, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
    • Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, MYOB, or similar ERP/accounting systems.
    • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    • Experience preparing management reports, KPI reporting, and maintaining effective financial controls.
    • Excellent organisational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
