Requirements
- Strong experience with Amazon Web Services, including EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, and Lambda.
- Solid understanding of networking concepts, including VPNs, Direct Connect, DNS, and hybrid architectures.
- Experience supporting Windows and/or Linux workloads in Amazon Web Services.
- Strong scripting and automation skills using PowerShell, Python, and Bash.
- Hands-on experience with monitoring and logging tools such as CloudWatch, Splunk, and LogicMonitor.
- Experience with infrastructure as code using Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Strong grasp of cloud security best practices and compliance frameworks.
- Proven experience in managed services or enterprise support environments.
- Strong background in Level 3 support and escalation handling.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve high-pressure production issues.
- Experience with ITIL practices.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to translate technical issues into business-relevant insights.
- Strong collaboration skills across engineering, operations, and client teams.
- Proactive mindset focused on continuous improvement and automation.
- Valid work rights for Australia and willingness to undergo comprehensive background checks, including probity and police checks.
Responsibilities
- Partner with clients to build and modernize applications, develop good practices, and optimize their technology landscapes.
- Act as a Level 3 escalation point for AWS infrastructure, platform, and application-related issues.
- Design, implement, and support highly available, scalable, and secure AWS solutions.
- Manage and optimize AWS environments within Microsoft-centric ecosystems, including Windows Server, Active Directory, and Azure integrations.
- Provide performance, security, and cost optimization recommendations for cloud services.
- Contribute to project-based delivery work, including building and deploying new cloud solutions.
- Lead incident response, problem management, and root cause analysis for critical issues.
- Develop code, shape requirements, design and deploy solutions, and establish engineering and quality practices.
- Drive automation and infrastructure as code using CloudFormation or Terraform.
- Participate in operations and after-hours 24/7 production support through a roster-based on-call schedule.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working in regulated environments, such as PSPF or similar frameworks.
- Exposure to Azure integrations within AWS ecosystems.
- ITIL certification is highly regarded.
