JOB SUMMARY
Requirements
- Proven experience operating and troubleshooting distributed systems at scale.
- Strong experience with Amazon Web Services, including Elastic Container Service, Cloud Development Kit, Lambda, Cognito, and CloudFront, together with Infrastructure as Code workflows.
- Practical experience with streaming architectures such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
- Proficiency in object-oriented programming, including C# and .NET, for debugging codebases.
- Strong SQL and database optimization skills.
- Hands-on experience with observability and monitoring frameworks such as Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, or Datadog.
- Good understanding of modern continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines.
- Experience writing scripts for automated integration testing.
Responsibilities
- Lead high-severity production incident responses.
- Perform root cause analyses and develop long-term solutions to maintain reliable live systems.
- Collaborate with backend developers, infrastructure specialists, and product teams to safeguard production environments.
- Debug complex core codebase issues and optimize database queries.
- Manage live data streaming pipelines.
- Build preventative monitoring and proactive automation.
- Create automated end-to-end integration scripts.
- Establish alerting pipelines using Grafana or Prometheus.
- Mentor junior team members on operational best practices.
- Architect reliable systems and establish long-term reliability standards.
Desired Qualifications
- Direct experience working in real-time sports technology or media streaming architectures.
