JOB SUMMARY
Requirements
- Proven experience delivering enterprise applications as a Full Stack Developer, with a strong backend focus
- Strong skills in Node.js, building and supporting backend services and integrations
- Working knowledge of React / ReactJS to support end-to-end delivery when required
- Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Git and SonarQube
- Strong knowledge of REST API design and building cloud-based solutions
- Passion for building reliable, scalable backend systems with a strong quality mindset
Responsibilities
- Join the Customer Engagement Technology team within Consumer Technology and contribute to a cloud-based staff digital platform
- Collaborate within cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions for the Westpac Digital platform
- Write clean, secure code aligned to best practices and design REST APIs using OpenAPI standards
- Reuse shared components where possible
- Diagnose and resolve complex service issues
- Maintain strong code quality through regular security and quality scans
- Actively participate in Agile ceremonies
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to engineers
- Support the growth of the engineering community through graduate, intern, and guild initiatives
Desired Qualifications
- AWS experience is highly desirable
