Requirements

Agile, Scrum or similar delivery methodologies experience
Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience
Full stack software development experience including Java, Spring Boot, React and related open-source frameworks
Designing and developing secure, scalable software solutions and API services
Integration with external systems, services and data sources
CI/CD, automated testing and infrastructure as code practices, using Ansible, Jenkins and Git
Demonstrated experience working in a senior engineering or project environment, preferably within multidisciplinary teams delivering server-side and client-side applications
Experience with containerisation and modern deployment environments, such as Docker and Kubernetes
Using collaboration and delivery tools such as Jira, Confluence and Git-based workflows
Australian citizenship and active NV1 clearance with ability to uplift to TSPV and obtain an Official Secrets Access (OSA); applicants with an active TSPV clearance are highly desirable

Responsibilities

Lead and contribute to the design, development, integration and testing of software solutions
Work across the full software development lifecycle, from early prototyping through to release and ongoing support
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, reliable and maintainable systems
Participate in agile delivery activities, including estimation, sprint planning and continuous improvement
Contribute to continuous integration, automated testing and deployment practices
Use AI-enabled development tools responsibly to support productivity, quality and engineering efficiency
Provide technical guidance, support design decisions and help maintain strong engineering standards across the team
