Role Description The Senior Tax Accountant is a full-time, on-site role based in Sydney, NSW. This role is responsible for managing complex tax compliance and tax preparation activities for a diverse portfolio of clients, including businesses and high-net-worth individuals. Day-to-day tasks include preparing and reviewing tax returns, advising on tax planning strategies, supporting tax audits and disputes, and ensuring adherence to relevant legislation and regulations. The Senior Tax Accountant will collaborate closely with lawyers and other accounting professionals to deliver integrated tax and commercial solutions. The role also involves preparing and analyzing financial statements, identifying risks and opportunities, and contributing to the continuous improvement of internal processes and client service.
Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in Tax Compliance and Tax Preparation, with the ability to manage complex tax matters and meet regulatory deadlines.
• In-depth knowledge of Tax and related legislation, with experience providing strategic tax planning and advisory services.
• Experience preparing, reviewing, and interpreting Financial Statements to support tax positions and business decisions.
• Solid Accounting skills, including understanding of accounting principles and their application in legal and commercial contexts.
• Relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certification (e.g., CPA, CA) is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated experience in a senior tax or public practice accounting role, preferably within a legal or advisory environment.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex tax issues clearly to clients and colleagues.
• High level of attention to detail, integrity, and commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professional ethics.
