Role
Joining this forward-thinking business, you will contribute to more than just hands-on development, you will be a champion for the business, promoting best engineering practices amongst the team and contributing to the company culture. Working across both back and front-end technologies, working in a split of 70% backend and 30% frontend, you will own and deliver features end-to-end working across some complex, scalable systems. You will need to lead from the front in this role, managing a team of engineers whilst also handling hands-on code. There are some big projects to work on in the business, it has been a positive time for the business, so looking to expand out and bring on-board an engineering leader who can take them to the next level.

Requirements

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, computer science, or a related field.
• Extensive experience working with Node.JS and understanding concepts such as worker threads, streams, and WebSockets.
• Proven experience as an engineering manager or team lead. Know how to inspire high-performance engineering teams.
• Knowledge of Front-end development working with React.
• In-depth experience with AWS cloud services is highly beneficial.
• You have prior experience working in a start-up environment, ideally you are able to adapt quickly.
• Strong understanding of modern development practices, including domain-driven development.
• You can design and implement software architectures that scale.
• An interest in the cryptocurrency industry is highly beneficial.
