Role Purpose

The core purpose of the role is to operate as part of the TapIn team providing first class technical advice and support to financial advisers within the Akumin network, selected external licensee partners and other key internal stakeholders.

Please note this is a minimum 6‑month contract, with flexible duration and scope to negotiate the term.

Role and Responsibilities

The main focus areas are:

• Answer financial adviser enquiries received via the TapIn contact centre phone line and email, covering a broad range of financial planning areas including, superannuation, SMSFs, social security, aged care, estate planning, retirement planning, taxation, and personal insurance.

• Develop and deliver technical materials, publications and presentations to support financial advisers and key stakeholder initiatives.

• Review written material for technical sign off.

• Providing technical and strategic advice, support and analysis, and solutions to technical problems to financial advisers and stakeholders.

• Ensuring the business is aware of opportunities and threats posed by legislative change and monitoring and communicating of changes to laws and regulations in related areas.

Ideal Skills and Experience

• Strong technical knowledge covering the principal areas of superannuation, social security, taxation, aged care, personal insurance, estate planning and financial planning issues
• Proven experience in a technical role or as a financial adviser
• Sound knowledge of the financial planning industry
• Tertiary qualification (accounting/law/commerce/finance/business/financial planning)
• Public speaking experience and experience presenting webinars
• Experience in effective stakeholder management
